It was in the media that Nayanthara had walked out of Payya. Many actresses were considered including Trisha and Tamanna. It was rumored that the reason that she walked out is that she did not want to compromise on money. It was said that the team expected her to accept less money because her recent films like 'Satyam' did not do well. But she declined to do so.
